Diesel Fuel Room For Sirius Telecom Generator
After the tragedy of 9/11, severe limitations on fuel storage above the ground floor were enacted for all buildings in New York City. The result is that many legacy generators for telecom sites only have limited operating backup time due to the constraints of fuel. Hand carrying fuel to resupply a generator in a power outage or other emergency is typically not practical due to weight constraints and the number of floors required to be climbed via stairs. The Sirius solution was to locate the generator and a separate fuel facility which could be resupplied at ground level.
